Ken Stewart Photography is returning to Banff Trail School Wednesday, December 10, 2025 to take class group photos and individual retakes.

Class Group Photos - all students will be participating in a class group photo.

Retake Photos - request a photo retake by sending a message to the school mailbox (banfftrail@cbe.ab.ca) with student(s)' name(s) and teacher(s) to request a retake photo.  To assist us with scheduling, kindly let us know by noon, Tuesday, December 9, 2025 if you wish to have retakes for your student(s).  Students who were absent for school photo days in September will be automatically included for individual photos.

Here are some tips to prepare for great photos:

School Photography Portrait Tips

• Your clothing should be clean and looking its best. 
• Bright, solid colors photograph best. Small patterns are fine, bigger patterns distract from your child’s face. Wearing long sleeves allows your face to stand out as well.
• Avoid getting a haircut the night before picture day; a week before will get you the best results.
• Hats are fine, but the school requires a headshot without the hat.  Bring the hat with you (do not wear it first) and you will be photographed with the hat after.
• Eye glasses are fine – we make adjustments to lighting and posing.
• Don’t worry about blemishes – we can take care of those with our Retouching services.
• Avoid clothing with slogans, as cropping will not always accommodate this
